My husband loves, loves, loves chicken wings. He loves them so much that we actually plant a special type of hot pepper in our family garden each year specifically so we can make his favorite hot wings recipe. (In case you’re wondering, the pepper is called a scotch bonnet and it is super hot!).
When it comes to chicken wings, there are two types of people. Those who dip them in ranch dressing, or those who prefer blue cheese. Personally, I prefer ranch. My husband, on the other hand, loves a good blue cheese dressing.
I don’t always keep blue cheese dressing on hand, but I almost always have a container of blue cheese in the back of the fridge. (From time to time my local grocery store puts it on sale for $1 a container and I always stock up). I’ve been whipping up fresh blue cheese dressing for years, and this simple recipe always hits the spot. It makes just enough dressing for two people, but is easily doubled (or tripled) if you are serving a big crowd.
Quick and Easy Blue Cheese Dressing
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
A few drops of Worcestershire sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving. (See – I told you it was quick and easy!).
