What summer looks like for The Goose…
He plays with the hose… and sometimes he accidentally sprays himself in the face.
He goes to Music in the Park and then he dangles his feet in the fountain… He tries really hard not to get his pants wet. But he is rarely successful.
He gets muddy playing in the garden, then touches everything he can on his way to the bathroom.
He drops eggs when helping mom in the kitchen. Sometimes they land on the counter, but usually they land on the floor.
Almost every day, he asks if we can have a cookout at the park. It’s so much funner than grilling at home… and he doesn’t mind the extra work.
When we go to Cheboygan he always insists on taking a trip to the Cheboygan Library to play checkers on their big checkerboard. And he usually wins.
He spends hours sitting in front of the Legos trying to decide which box he’ll buy once he’s saved up enough money.
He’s very helpful when it comes to packing for vacations and long weekends. He loves to do sparklers, and thanks to this handy tip from Pinterest, it’s a whole lot safer!
He loves to lounge in our pool… even though he doesn’t quite fit anymore.
He’s been having a blast playing T-Ball. Once he even tagged another player out!
He loves going swimming, especially with his Dad. Dad is the only one who can throw him high into the air and yell “Goose cannon!”.
We go to the sprayscape every chance we get.
He picks vegetables that he grows in his own garden.
He helps pick fresh Michigan strawberries at Rowe’s Produce Farm. (We always take his older cousins with us – they are strawberry picking champions!). Then he helps crush the berries so we can make LOTS of strawberry jam.
He loves having campfires and eating s’mores.
He eats dinner at Gordon Turner park.
He visits the ice cream man every chance he gets.
The Goose’s summer is filled with water, ice cream, and cookouts. What does your summer look like?
