I love doing fun things to celebrate special days. We eat heart shaped sandwiches to celebrate Valentines Day, I made a red and green lunch for Christmas and we always cover The Goose’s bedroom with balloons to celebrate his birthday. And, since I recently learned that I am 42% Irish, I figured we should start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, too!
I searched Pinterest and found a few really cute ideas for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day – and we had a lot of fun trying all of these St. Patrick’s Day treats!
Lucky Charms Treats – When I was pregnant with The Goose, I had MAJOR Lucky Charms cravings. I couldn’t get enough, and my mouth would actually start to water when I just thought about them. Not surprisingly, The Goose loves Lucky Charms, too. And we both love these Lucky Charms treats. (Via TheMittenMom.com)
St. Patrick’s Day Muddy Buddies – Muddy Buddies are one of the simplest (and most delicious!) snacks to make at home. And adding in green food coloring, green M&Ms and marshmallows from Lucky Charms cereal makes them even tastier! (Via Frugal Mom Eh!)
Leprechaun Lunch – I was never a big fan of chocolate covered popcorn until this year when we sold it for The Goose’s Cub Scout pack. Now, I can’t get enough. Throw in some sprinkles and a few green M&Ms and you’ve got yourself a winner! (via Bloom Designs Online)
