A few weeks ago, I shared my awesome recipe for no cook, no eggs vanilla ice cream. Today, I’m back and I’m sharing my recipe for – you guessed it – no cook, no eggs chocolate ice cream!
Plain chocolate ice cream has always been my very favorite – some people my find it boring, but I can’t get enough. I don’t like chunks in my ice cream. I don’t like weird flavors. I like to keep it simple. And plain chocolate is about as simple as it gets.
A few years ago I was walking through Sam’s Club when I spotted an incredible deal – a bright orange ice cream maker for only $14.99! It was the middle of summer, and it was so unbelievably hot, so I snatched it up and came right home to start looking for ice cream recipes.
I quickly ran into a problem – I couldn’t find any ice cream recipes that were simple enough for my (then) three-year-old to help make. All of the recipes I found either called for eggs, needed to be cooked, or both. Now, I don’t know about you, but I have found eggs to be the absolute worst kitchen mess to clean up – and my kid has a knack for dropping them on the floor. Plus, try telling a kid you’re going to make ice cream, but you need to wait five hours for the mixture to cool. See how well that one goes over…
